SMTP authentication for Netscape Communicator 4.7 on MacOS
Netscape Communicator 4.7 for MacOS requires the
following changes to be made in order for you to use SMTP authentication:
- Run Netscape Communicator, under the Edit menu, select Preferences.
- Select Mail Servers which is under Mail & Newsgroups in the left category list.
- Change the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server to: REMOTESMTP.WYITH.NET:5190
- Ensure that Outgoing mail server user name is set to your SMTP username.
- Under Use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) or TLS for outgoing messages select Never
- Click OK
