Escrow service for domain names - Process overview

STEP 1. Buyer and Seller agree to terms of transaction
Once you have decided to use our escrow service, we will send both parties a copy of the transaction terms. The terms will include the domain name, the sale price, as well as a full description of any additional agreed terms. Both parties will need to agree and sign the terms before the escrow process starts.

STEP 2. Buyer pays DomainAvenue.com
The Buyer transfers payment to DomainAvenue.com via an available payment option. We will then inform both parties when payment is verified.

STEP 3. Seller transfers domain name to DomainAvenue.com
Upon verification of payment, the Seller transfers the domain name to DomainAvenue.com. The domain name will remain with DomainAvenue.com and will not be transferred to the Buyer before the Seller receives the payment.

STEP 4. DomainAvenue.com pays the Seller
DomainAvenue.com transfers the payment to the Seller by the method selected by the Seller. Both parties will be notified when the transfer of payment completes.

STEP 5. DomainAvenue.com releases domain name to the Buyer
Once payment is duly received by the Seller, DomainAvenue.com releases the domain name to the Buyer. The Buyer has the option to choose to transfer the domain name to any available registrar or have it hosted at DomainAvenue.com. The transaction is complete.

We accept wire/telegraphic transfers, and in some cases credit card, PayPal®, and cheque/money order. Please note that the length of time to process various with the payment method.
  3. What if the Buyer doesn't accept the domain name?
Quite unlikely. Both parties are bound by the terms of transaction they signed with us when they initiate the escrow service. DomainAvenue.com was founded in 1996 with a lean business model, "outsource all products and services whenever possible." DomainAvenue.com's commitment to "the end result" has been proved by long established partner programs with supporting service companies, including Register.com. The company had served over 20,000 domain names before it was acquired by the 1991-established Internet pioneer Wyith Incorporated in November 2000.
